100 years Murray Bookchin
2021 marks 100 years since the birth of Murray Bookchin (on 14th of January), founding theorist of social ecology and one of the most profound thinkers of the 20th century. His thought, always political and directed towards radical social change, have influenced both urban and rural social movements around the world, including one of the most significant emancipatory experiences of our time – the social revolution in Rojava.
Throughout the year, we, in TRISE, will be organizing a series of events in commemoration of and in dialogue with Bookchin’s legacy.
We appeal to each and every person and collective around the world to organize similar events. Let’s make 2021 an opportunity to spread even further Bookchin’s ideas in our local communities worldwide!
